Eva & Allan’s Wedding

Allan & Eva first met in the Fall of 2015 when they both attended a volleyball group in via meet-up. Eva was already a regular in that drop in and she likes greeting new comers. When she met Allan, she was pleasantly surprised when he greeted her “Kamusta”(Hello) and talked to her in Tagalog.

Since they both were born and grew up in the Philippines, and having shared the same cultural language, they easily felt at ease with each other and became friends. They see each other regularly during their bi-weekly volleyball games. Eva is a fan of Allan’s volleyball skills especially his setting skills. She later found out that he used to play as a setter and was a varsity player during his High School and University years in the Philippines. The two bonded by playing together on leagues, attending various events and activities, both inside and outside the court, together with their friends from volleyball.

Eventually they find themselves going on movies and brunches and dinner with just the two of them. They also started inviting each other to meet and hang out with their friends at work and those outside their volleyball circle. So when Allan asked Eva to be his plus-one in his friends wedding, Eva casually said yes. They gradually developed feelings for each other and admitted to liking each other. The rest they say is history.

On the beautiful evening of January 3, 2018, during the couples holiday vacation in the Philippines was when Allan finally popped the question and asked for Eva’s hand in marriage. Both side of their families are very delighted and excited for both of them. Allan and Eva’s parents have given the couple their blessing.  They now look forward to spending the rest of their lives together as husband and wife.
